What: Klaus Startup Challenge Demo Day
Where: Klaus 1116
When: March 27th, 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Who: All startups that were invited to Demo Day are required to present if they want to be considered for investment. However, all other teams, parents, and students are welcome to attend to learn more about what the judges are looking for from the winning teams and cheer on this year’s finalists.
Schedule:
5:00-5:30 - Introduction (judges introduce themselves, go over rules)
5:30-7:30 Pitches and Q&A -
Each startup has 3 minutes to pitch, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A from the judges. Teams will have exactly 3 minutes to present. Their time will start as soon as they start presenting. At 30 seconds left, a student assistant will hold up a yellow piece of paper. When time is up, a student assistant will hold up a red piece of paper. At this time, all presenters should stop presenting. If you continue presenting, your mic will be taken from you which isn’t a great look, so please try and ensure that your presentations do not exceed the time limit. The order of the presentations will be randomly created on Wednesday morning. The presentations will be done at the front of the room and presenters will each have a clip-on microphone and a clicker to go through their slide deck. Reminder that slide decks should not include videos. Each team’s slide decks will already be pulled up by the time they get on stage.
7:30-8:15 - Judges Discuss in Conference Room (judges eat in Conference Room) (Everyone else eats in Klaus 1116)
8:15 - 8:30 - Judges Announce Winner
